My Go-To Digital Learning Tools in My Classroom
I created my Pirates in Primary website to offer K-2 teachers with interactive games and videos that align to the Common Core State Standards. Your students' engagement and excitement about their learning will sky rocket when you bring digital learning into the classroom! I created Teacher's Tech Corner to provide my favorite ELA, Math, and essential Teacher Tools such as Prodigy math game, Flipgrid, Nearpod, and more. Check out my Certifications Page where you can find my Digital Teacher tools Certifications such as Class Dojo Mentor, Quizlet Teacher Ambassador, and Nearpod Certified Educator.

My DIGITAL Math Block
My math block is filled with interactive math resources for differentiation and engagement. Students work on Zearn Math on aligned standards and rotate to work in small teacher-guided group. Then students attempt to finish each lesson for that week. They can extend their thinking with Splash Math and Prodigy Math games.

My DIGITAL Daily 5 Guided Reading Centers

I use a rotating wheel for assigning the letter of the four centers to be completed that day. Students will either work independently at their desk or be allowed to move to their center or their partner to work collaboratively. My reading centers are designed to create choice for my students and grow their creativity through the digital realm. "Gamification" is a huge confidence and engagement booster so I use games with a variety of digital tools. While my students are working at their centers, I pull small groups of students to read books on their instructional reading level.
My Daily 5 Centers include:

My DIGITAL English Language Arts Block
My students practice their Spelling Words on Vocabulary Spelling City. The room lights up when my students compete to find their Sight Words and Spelling words on Quizlet Live. While thinking about the writing prompt that responds to reading the Anchor text, my students create a video response on Flipgrid.
