LACUE Elementary Teacher of the Year 2016
I was so honored to be awarded LACUE's (Louisiana's Association of Computer Using Educators) Elementary Teacher of the Year Award for 2016. I strive to use digital learning in my everyday lessons to better my students' learning and futures.
My First Grade Team
I love my first grade team members! We collaborate well and always have innovative ways to keep our first grade learners engaged. We are a Leader-In-Me School so we live the 7 Habits of Effective People everyday.
Louisiana A+ Arts Integration
My school Ridge Elementary is an Louisiana A+ School. I teach with all Arts forms integrated into my lessons: Visual Art, Dance, Theater, and Music. I have presented to teachers on how they can use Art Integration, too!
Teachers Pay Teachers Store, Pirates in Primary
My TPT Store, Pirates in Primary is for teachers who teach Primary-aged grades, Pre-K, K, 1st, and 2nd. My heart lies with Primary! I have a Pirate and Ocean themed classroom. I created over 30 Digital Products for teachers to use in their classroom. I love creating digital works of art that I use in my class to create more engaging lessons and a more efficient class environment.
Dogs "Fur"-Ever
I love doggies! My dog Beau is like my baby. I got Beau as a puppy when someone didn't want him anymore. He is a black beagle and loves to run and howl. I found and rescued Jacquimo on a street in Lafayette with a friend. We took him in and cared for him as he was on the streets for quite some time. Jacquimo regained his health and I found him a forever home.
