My Professional Development Presentations with Content Development
I love presenting to teachers! I like to be effective and engaging in Professional Development settings. I've learned that 'Sit and Get' are less efficient than 'Go and Show' Model. In my opinion, 'Go and Show' means that teachers will find ideas to spark their own creative nature that accelerate their teaching. I hope teachers will gain at least one thing that they want to take back to their classroom. I need to bring several resources and strategies to teachers so they will find some ideas of quality and value to bring back to their lessons.
I have been on the Science Teacher Leader Cadre Team in my district for the implementation of the new science standards. I am on a team where we are creating 5E lessons aligned with the new Louisiana Standards Science Standards. I have presented to several Science workshops to help teachers understand the 5E Model, new standards, and more.
I have worked on the First Grade Math Team for my district in developing a new Scope and Sequence map to better serve our students. I presented on the new editions and how to use Zearn.org to deepen students' understanding of the math concepts.

I have worked with the Social Studies department at my district to develop a new Scope and Sequence that is aligned with ELA Curriculum and Texts. I have presented on Digital Resources and Technology integration with Social Studies lessons in grades K-5.
I enjoy presenting in PD's to teachers about ways to breathe life into their lessons. There are a plethora of Assessments tools, ePortfolio platforms, organization pieces, engagement strategies, and more.
I've worked with the First Grade ELA team with my district. I have met with the ELA team to organize Power Standards. These are the Common Core State Standards that are the most critical and prioritized standards needed to be successful in the next grade. I have worked on building and developing Shared/ Interactive Read-Aloud Reading Lessons that match those Power Standards. Those Power Standards are now used in our Standards Checklist and teachers still use those lessons as supplemental whole reading lessons.
